Verse of the Week † From Larry Beard

“His life’s verse is Psalm 16:8, “I HAVE SET THE LORD ALWAYS BEFORE ME.    BECAUSE HE IS AT MY RIGHT HAND I WILL NOT BE SHAKEN!”

Brother Larry Beard, raised in Southeast Michigan near Ann Arbor, has been in Naples for 7 years after moving from Atlantic Beach, Florida.  He now lives in Kensington with his wife, Judy (married for over 48 years) and their dog Henry.    Larry has four children, three sons and their families live in Michigan (2) and Massachusetts (1) while his daughter’s family lives here in Naples. With more than 45 years in the automotive and aerospace industries Larry retired in 2009 from Cooper Standard Automotive and moved to Naples.     He enjoys general physical fitness activities which keeps him in shape to play with his 7 grandchildren or at least not pass out when they want to play catch or swim in the pool.   In his spare time, he is consulting with businesses to improve their performance.   Larry turned his life over to Jesus in 1977 but it wasn’t until 2014 that Christ really became the center of his life. He has committed himself to helping others in the community through hospital, rehab and nursing home visitations with his Church and with AVOW where he and his dog Henry visit on Fridays.   He is also working with missions and is currently part of an advisory team to a missionary in China.  Larry and his Family attend First Baptist Church here in Naples.
